I had to work overnight once and got way too freaked out. I agree, it does pay the bills but I have to say that I do enjoy being self employed although I'm having a little trouble with clients because there are flakes sometimes and I have to keep advertising to keep it afloat, it is well worth it. I don't like working for someone else and following someone else's rules. Ah well, one day I will have people working for ME (hopefully soon).

One day you will rule the world??
I agree...it would be great to be self employed but it is a hard thing to undertake and get going...if I found the right vocation I would do it...but I haven't yet.
I enjoy my afternoons free...I get to do stuff with my kids or go fishing or do things outdoors when the weather is nice.

Well not the world, just a small portion of it LOL It is very difficult obtaining clients and keeping them, you have to try to make everyone happy without compromising your own happiness which sometimes is impossible. I have been at this for 3 years and I do enjoy what I do but I just don't want to be doing it myself forever. I want to be able to retire comfortably, wouldn't we all? This past year has been especially tough all around. I just hope I can keep it going, I don't like failure.

I wish you the best of luck and I hope it all works out for you and your endeavors thrive and you become successfull...whether that means being rich or having a lot of clients or just simply making a difference...I admire you for sticking with it, sticking your neck out there and working hard...your kids have a good role model!!!!

The only real failure is to not try in the first place.

I once had a boss tell me, and I am not making this up, that I was "too honest". I still can't process that remark, even 8 years later.

Coming from a boss I would be a little taken aback by it...what did he tell you that for? Cause you didn't rob him or something?

Let's just say that I wouldn't misrepresent myself to a competitor.
He turned out to be the most paranoid <deleted>**** I have ever met in my life. I did walk away with a barrel full of stock, so I wish them well...

Vacation, job, funeral and other reasons like that they won't be around here for a while, maybe a little longer....
I work night shift at the Commissary on Naval Base area as the security guard from midnight till 7:30 am. I really don't complain about my job because I love it because it's easy job, but still it's not really easy.
