I've still got some pumpkin in the freezer. It haunts me in my dreams every night, begging to be pie-ified.

I think you should stab it, then leave it to rot....as a warning to other pumpkins.....

speaking of halloween tree... once i finish "HALLOWEEN: An American Holiday, An American Tradition" i'll be reading Ray Bradbury's "Halloween Tree" for the first time!!

they tend to go into MUCH greater detail... movies fall subject to time restraints because of the visual aspects of theatre... the imagination of the story (in one's opinion) can get kinda lost in the imagination of the director's and producer's invisioning...
like... in Stephen Kings "Pet Semetery" all except for the neighbor, Jud, looked nothing like i imagined em

Plus it's easier to read a book while you're in the john. Ever try setting a TV on your legs? Numbness sets in after ten minutes.
