I literally came to a screeching stop when I saw that the best farmstand around had put out their wall of pumpkins!

It's 3D but you can just zoom in to one side.

Well you could always get a Funkin.

I've had this one for a few years now and finally decided to go ahead and carve it.

I typically do one of these lantern style jack-o'-lanterns each year, the design is more of a non-denominational seasonal decoration, that I can leave out all year.

You're not seeing double, this is a parallel 3D image so hopefully some of you can free-view them without a stereoscope or cell phone adapter.

Well, according to the calendar, Autumn is here since the 21st of September, but according to the weather and the bugs that are still here, the unseasonable heat, and the lawn that has to be mowed again, it's still Summer.

It's supposed to be 81 tomorrow and 83 on Sunday. I love Summer, but I can definitely use a break from the heat, humidity, bugs and lawn mowing. Not to mention that the leaves are still green, and I am probably going to be raking those things up late in November. This has been the longest 'Indian Summer" we've had for as long as I can remember.

I've become addicted to an online, 3D conversion service that generates stereoscopic slides from single. 2D images, and have created a virtual 3D autumn world.

I also take my own 3Ds but there is such a wealth of other people's images out there that lazy old me is just fine using them.

(I even made one from Mac Phantoms avatar to predictably horrible effect...)

They are viewable with inexpensive goggles or you can see them with practice by what is referred to as 'free viewing'.

This link will let Brian May, of Queen, explain how to do this.

Good luck.

I'll say one thing for sure. For some reason or another it's been a bannar year for flies this Summer, so I can't wait for that to be past.

I don't have pictures, but my husband and I were so surprised yesterday to see a yard full of skeletons in our neighborhood!

There'd been a bad accident blocking the intersection we usually take coming home from the grocery store, so we had to wend our way through some streets we never go down. And one of the houses on those streets had maybe five skeletons in the yard, a full Halloween display. I have no idea who these folks are, if maybe they put something up for Walpurgisnacht, or what. But it was a fun surprise to see it in May.

Or they're serial killers and, as the saying goes, they hide it in plain sight.

Well, the skeletons --looked-- artificial, but you never know.
