man will be wiped off the face of the earth at some point, just as everything else has been, then when we're gone the earth will regenerate it's self just has it always has after a species has left and a new species will emerge.....
Or, the aliens that put man on earth to watch our behavior (like a giant ant farm) will grow tired of us and kill us all and start over....

At the risk of being redundant, I have lived through more 'end of the world' predictions then you can shake a stick at. I was barely 2 when the Cuban Missile Crises threatened to turn us all into ashes. When I was a Junior in High Scfhool, the place was all a buzz with talk of how the world was supposed to end in 1980. Shortly after that prediction failed to materialized, California was supposed to fall into the Pacific. 1988 came and went, and the tv media and various doom-sayers were busy planning on how they were going to survive the nuclear war that was supposedly predicted to break out in 1996 or 1997, by the famous Naustrodamus. Of course, that never happened, and the fever was just starting to die down when informercials were trying to sell me Y2K survival kits, when it was predicted that the Y2k bug was going to turn oru civilization into a pumpkin at 12:01 am on New Years of the year 2000. Now the History Channels, History International, the Internet and the college where I work is all over the December 21, 2012 prophecy. And believe it or not, there is already an astroid that's supposed to strike the Earth on 2016, when the 2012 prediction fails to come true.
Folks, the bottom line is that these predictions have been around for thousands of years, and will be around until the end of the world finaly does come about. As for 2012, I think it's just going to be another year that a lot of scared people are going to very foolishly spend their money on "survival kits," and nothing will happen, and then they wil go from being scared to feeling stupid.

Wise words pumpkin man. I can tell you right now I'm glad there are people who have enough sense to know that these supposed end of the world predictions aren't going to come true.
I think I said it before, but I think people want the end of the world to happen.
Growing up, it was the rapture this, and the tribulation that. So the end of the world is a topic I've never really liked. Of course, it scared me as a kid, now it's just annoying.

DemonSlayer, I do believe that at some point, the predictions in Reveltion are going to happen. However, I do not presue to know when that's going to happen, and anyone who says that any of these events are going to happen on such and such a date at such ans such a time is, to put it bluntly, full of it. The 2nd Coming of Christ is something that I do believe in with all of my heart as a Catholic, which is why I get so annoyed when people try to sell me "Y2K" survival kits, or a room in a bunker deep under ground so I'll survive the great shift in the Earth's poles. I will say that these 'end of the world' stories do make for entertaining movies and tv, but they're excelent works fo fiction, not fact.

There are all kinds of stories on the Internet atoub the "New World Order," and how it's all going to be run by the Freemasons, or the Aluminati, or some other satanic organization. Maybe it will, and m aybe it won't. The Bible cllearly state in the Book of Mathew, that nither the Angels, or even Christ himself knows when the end is going to happen, but only God the Father knows. Nobody else in Heaven or on Earth knows the exact time or date, so when some one says "It's all going to happen on December 21, 2010," that person is either delusional or doesn't know what he's talking about. I believe that yes, there will be an antichrist. Yes, there will be an "Armagedden," and Yes, there will be a 2nd comming of Christ, but it could hapen tomorrow, next year, of a thousand years from now. NOBODY KNOWS when it's going to happen. NOBODY excet God the Father.
That's the way I see it, so I am NOT going to spend my life hiding in bomb shelters, huddled next to a portable generator waiting for the sky to fall. I'm going to drive the new Merc up to my brothers place to celebrate the 4th of July with lots of 4th of July "party favors," and if God wants me, he's got me. If he wants me 5 seconds from not, or 50 years from not, or the day after tomorrow, he's got me, no "ifs, ands or buts" about it.

This wasn't a stupid cospiracy theorist site. This was something on the news about some violent nuts protesting against something called globalization. And some people left comments on it saying stuff like "New World Order is here to stay" and "Have they picked a new leader yet". It really freaked me out.
