Waaaaait a second; are you related to Mac?

Maybe distantly, or not so distant, I hear Scottish people marry their cousins. I know my grandma almost did.

But I don't have any well formed ideas about any sort of after life.

I'm only one quarter Scottish, and, despite being born in West Virginia, my blood is sufficiently mongrelized so that I'm certain there was no inbreeding among my immediate ancestors. Plus, I don't drool all over myself when I'm sleeping....

what about plain water? Ice?

Ice numbs the tongue, making it harder to detect the nuances of the whisky. A splash of fresh, clean water on the other hand is not a bad thing, and is said to help open up the flavors a bit.

I forgo ice as it tends to dilute my potato juice cocktails.

I bet you fill up an empty Aquafina bottle with Absolut before you leave for work each day, don't you...?
