That's why abandoned insane asylums, prisons, hospitals and the like are sid to be haunted. Many people suffered in those places, tha the energy brought on by that suffering is stored up somehow, and is replayed back in the brains of those who are sensitive to it. Older homes and buildings, likewise, have more stored up pshcyic energy then newer buildings do.
