I'm sick of the moneymaking going on around 2012. As far as those worried about it let me say that the Mayans of the modern day do not think that 2012 will be the end of anything.
As for the big Mayan calender hoopla keep in mind that had they not disappeared they would have started another calender. Also it might be prudent for people to keep in mind the people with the doomsday calender might have disappeared when they did (at the end of the last calender) because they believed the world was ending and wiped themselves out. Every generation has claimed the end was coming and they were all right. Everybody dies.
I was at the movie store the other day and overheard this teenage girl talking with her dad about this subject. She firmly believes that she will only get to live for a year after her graduation. This fear will lead to a lot of bad decision making. Stop the hype!!

If they show it again, watch 'Jesse James' Hidden Treasure' on History Channel. They argue a good case that Jesse James faked his death in 1882. Appears he died at the ripe old age of 88.

Now this is the type of thing History Channel should be showing! Ice Road Truckers? Gangland? Ax Men?

Feel free to quote me on that one. I've had enough of "the end of the world". What we mean is "the end of us". I have a feeling that after we fear ourselves to death the world will spin on w/o us.
