If any of you have been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium (or watched Star Trek, the voyage home) and are familiar with the life-sized fiberglass whales hanging in the main hall, know that I walk quickly through that room, eyes on the floor.

It's actually quasi-rational.

imagine yourself a young child whose family is a sailing family, many boats and on the water whenever time permits.

Now imagine a pleasant day on the ocean when suddenly the water around you swells and gently but very perceptibly lifts your boat and slides it several yards to one side, as if being pushed aside by something considerably larger than said craft.

The child looks over the rail to see a formidable shadow, gracefully glide away...

I haven't been on an ocean since.

Just finished watching 'When Good Ghouls Go Bad', just started 'The Halloween Tree'.

As for animals I'm afeared of? Penguins! Never trust anything that's always wearing a tuxedo.

For me its Chihuahuas. Little known fact. 3 Chihuahuas killed off all the dinosaurs.

The only reason we're alive right now......Chihuahuas are scared of Chuck Norris. He keeps them at his ranch and occasionally puts on Chihuahua rodeos. NOT FOR THE SQUEMISH!

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson went to one of the rodeos. 9 MONTHS IN THERAPY! Still have relapses.

I am watching The Martian. Don't ask me how. Don't want Kolchak hunting me down. Very good so far. More humor than I expected. Toss up between this and Gravity as to my favorite recent space movies. Apparently duct tape can fix a broken visor on a space helmet. I must go buy duct tape tomorrow. Just in case.

Edit: Disco is sooo coming back after this movie.

Edit 2: I just LoLed. When he drills the holes in the roof of the rover. You'll see.

Just finished watching The Rite, with Anthony Hopkins. An exorcism movie with a good ending. We like it.

I needed some Halloween spirit to finish decorating so I loaded up the Roseanne Halloween DVD and ran through it twice while I completed the task.
