It is cloudy (still) and a high of 38 today. At least is above freezing and no snow in the forcast.

Curses on both of you, for cursing my weather!

It's gray and cloudy today, but it is 60 degrees.

...and I'd be happy to take a bite out of either one of you. 8)

Hey, cheer up, folks. Today begins the last week of February. In other words, March begins a week from tomorrow, and SPRING begins on the 21st of Mach. Now I realize that March, as the old saying goes, "comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, or comes in like a lamb and goes out like a lion," but we're at least through the worst of the Winter Doldrums, and I, for one, am happy about it. I am also going to be a busy photographer, raking in all the O T. Easter is just around the corner, and MOTERCYCLING SEASON is not too far behind Easter. And of course, we will only have one more month for the 1st quarter of the year, which means we're 2 months closer to Halloween, and by the end of march, we'll be 3 months closer.

I'm one of those weirdos (is that news to you?? ) who begins and ends the seasons based on the months. Dec-Feb is winter, March-May is spring, June-August is summer, and Sept-Nov is fall. As far as I'm concerned, March 1st is the first day of spring, so I'm already getting excited!

A lot of people look at it that way, and I am already seeing comercials on tv for lawn mowers, roto tillers and other yard work tools. I am also in the process of getting my house ready for my St. Pat's party which is going to be on Saturday the 13th, and Spring wil be oficialy sprung on the 21st.

As for the weather, well that's another story all together. I probably said this before, but in Illinois, we have a saying about March. March comes in like a lion and dgoes out like a lamb, or it comes in like a lamb and goes out like a lion. More often then not, it comes in and goes out like a lion in reality. But, I'm sure that at some point, not to long from now, I will get to go for my first motorcycle ride of 2010. That almost allways happens in March, but on a couple of occasions it hapened in February. Not this Feb, though. The snow has been a nightmare, as has the cold. Yesterday morning I was an hour late for work because of vrious accidents caused by snow and ice on the roads.

At any rate, I am really anxious for Spring and Summer, not only because of the snow and cold, but because last Spring and Summer was a total drag. All spring I had to attend meetings and prepar for my surgery, and all Summer, through most of September, I was in and out of the hospital with complications because of the surgery. I did get to make a trip to the Indiana Dunes, though. I will also be makig a 'haunted road trip' in March, provided the weather cooperates.

Well, here in the oh-so-wonderful Arctic tundra of Ohio, we had a break from the blowing snow for approximately 37.2 seconds when the clouds parted and the sun shone through. After that, back to 20 degree temperature and tons of snow.

Oh goody! On my day off too!
