when we moved to Salt Lake City we lived across the street from Mormons, actually, Mormons were all around us, but anyway, they were watching us unload the moving truck and when we pulled the coffin out they just stood there, then went inside. A few days latter I was outside and the husband came over and introduced himself and asked about the coffin, I explained it was a Halloween decoration and so on....Anyway, they moved out about a month later..hehehe

So, do Mormons not celebrate Halloween? We had next-door neighbors who were Mormon, back in the '90s. They were great neighbors, but they did have some peculiarities. For example, they told me Sunday was their "family day." I thought, how nice, they reserve one day just to spend with their own family, no other socializing. Then I realized that by "family," they meant the members of their church. They had lots of company that day, but no one who wasn't Mormon.
I never knew them to TOT, but I always figured they must be going somewhere else for it. I never knew what they were doing on Halloween night.

When I was younger, one of my friends wasn't allowed to go TOTing because her mother thought that Halloween was a celebration of the devil. I'm not sure what religion they practiced. One year though, her mother finally gave in and let her go TOTing and ironically, she dressed up as a red devil
