I'm home alone this weekend so I'm gonna scare myself senseless.
At dusk I'm going to put on a Midnight Syndicate CD, turn off all of the lights and light the candelabras and candles in the free-standing iron pillar holders (seriously, these people don't realize how Halloween-y their house is.) open the doors and pray for fog to roll in.
The landscaping lights glow eerily in the fog and it's easy to imagine all of the things that could be lurking in the mist...
Then I'll freak out, turn on all the lights and laugh maniacally as I pour myself another tonic.

What's your favorite or the best Midnight Syndicate CD or song(s)?

I have 'Out Of The Darkness' it covers 1994-1999.
I think Legions Of The dead and Sanctuary are my favorites.

To be honest I don't think I know one of their songs but have thought about buying a CD or downloading some MP3's of them...I will have to check them out first though...

here in St. Louis, the tradition is to sit around a fire pit on the driveway/lawn (with the yard fully decked out in its most haunted glory, of course) while giving out candy to the trick r treaters. I'm sure it is elsewhere, too, but we like to claim the tradition I guess. Makes the whole night seem like that much more of a neighborhood festival. Lots of fun. There's just....something....about that night....the air, the electric feel in the air....its not like any other night of the year......maybe the Druids were onto something

I picked up 3 really nice big pumpkins on my way home from work yesterday evening. I'm not going to carve them until it gets closer to the actual day, but I may go and buy a couple more so I can carve one. I atualy did carve a small pumpkin and I light it every night I'm home from work.

Great. You may want to carve them now since it's probably Halloween where you are.

The poll can't hold that many choices.

Well, I did manage to light off my last two orange smoke bombs. Unfortunately one of them was a total dud. The other went off really nice. It made a great blanket of orange smoke, and the little ones liked it.

Well, being that January will be over next Tuesday, we will only have 9 more months to go until Halloween 2011. I'm still going to enjoy Spring and Summer. I'm still going to celebrate the 4thof July with a vengence, and ride my motorcycle like I've never ridden it before, but I still am going to plan for the 2011 Halloween season.
And don't forget "Little Halloween" this comming May. Friday May 13th to be exact. I have to take photos at the Graduation Comencement, so I won't be home until afte 11:00, but you can bet that my plastic Jack O'OLantern will be lit and a horror movie will be in my DVD player.

On Friday the 13th, I'm going to a bar dressed as a Killer Klown. And I'm gonna get wasted.
