I don't think there will be any TOTers in July, but I will have one of my fake jack o'lanters and a horror movie on Friday August 13th this Summer.

Speaking of heat,I remember one year it was 80 degrees on Halloween. "Indian Summer" is what they call it, and it was really nice, unless you were dressed in a hot costume with a full face mask. I was handing out candy that day, of course, so I was not in costume, and thought it was great. A lot of TOT Candy did get melted, however.

On the very next day, Nov 1st, it was rainy and in the lvoer 40s.

I can pretty much do without Christmas in July, all though it was July and one of the hottes days of the year when I saw "It's a Wonderful Life" for the very first time. But I LOVE the idea of doing something Halloweenish in July, so I will definately be taking one of my 'haunted road trips" in July some time before my 50th Birthday.

IMHO, Halloween comes to a limited extent in ANY month of the year the 13th of the month falls on a Friday. "Little Halloween," can be a lot of fun.

Mike,

Don't forget to use orange smoke balls and firework lights for Fourth of July! :D

I allways do. I also allways make sure that I have extra orange smoke bombs to put aside for Halloween, and the TOTers really loved it last h ear.

I had orange and a couple of yellow smoke bombs, and the little ones really got a bang out of it.

Sounds good I have been watching Disneys Halloween in April and I just love watching Twitches and Halloween town some of the best Halloween shows that Disney has. They need to make some new ones.

That's common in a lot of places. I have seen Halloween decorations and "Back To School" sales items in the stors as early as the 5th of July. "Back to School" is really pushed by mid July, even though there's still over a month before school begins. It's also not to uncommon to see Halloween themed merchandise going on the store shelves around that time, too. In fact, I found Halloween greeting cards for sale at my local drug store the very day I left for the Indiana Dunes last July. There were also a few Halloween items, though not very many. It sill gave me "the bug," but it didn't detract from my beach vacation.

Of course, if one really wanted to be a fanatic about it, and save money at the same time, you can allways shop on line. Christmas, Halloween, and every kind of decoration are allways for sale. I bought last year's Advent candles in July, and I purchased some fireworks for the 4th of July last January via the web.

You should live here in southern Indiana.
Halloween stuff is usually in stores by mid or late July.

The problem with that (and I know, cause they do it here), is that all the stores are filled with Christmas stuff in October.... :?

Yeah, it sucks to see an inflatable Santa inside the door of Walmart in late October.
