Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

i hope so.. for a while there the holiday seemed to be dying in my town but thats not the case this year

"I told my husband its going to look like Halloween threw up in here when we are done,lol."

I dont think Halloween will ever really fade away, but I think there are periods where people move away from it, but right now it seems like it is becoming more and more popular. The amount of new start up websites this year alone that are Halloween based is crazy.

Halloween throwing up! That made me laugh too! I'll have to use that.

Welcome October!! The best month of the entire year is upon us and I am going to do everything in my power to enjoy every second of it...I think I will begin by eating a handful of cancorn....yummmm. Here is a Ocotber poem I wish to share.

O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away.
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
For the grapes' sake, if the were all,
Whose leaves already are burnt with frost,
Whose clustered fruit must else be lost--
For the grapes' sake along the all.

i dig the poem did you right it yourself? if so then you did a GREAT job you should post some work in the writers area.. i think i've posted too many there lol i write all the time

That is a lovely poem, and the sentiment rings true.
Fall flies away so fast. We can blink a few times and it's gone.
Enjoy every second of it.

I think Hallowe'en is going through another one of those phase changes. It's becoming more adult orientated, like it was in the early 1900's. Parties are on the rise, while Trick-or-Treating seems to be on the wane.

Just seeing how fast today passed shows the speed at which October flies by. Enjoy this time period my friends, this is our time, so do everything and anything you possibly can to live every second like its your last October. That's the mentality I am going to have this month.

AND unfortunately no, I cannot take credit for that poem. It is a poem by Robert Frost, if I could write as good as him I would have no need to go to work everyday . I have however done some work that I believe is decent which I will post in the writing section eventually.

I was thinking that that might have been Frost, but I wasn't sure.

Sorry that I've not been around here today 'cuz I was very busy....

Anyway, I wait all year long for October! I plan to do something Halloween related everyday of the month. The fun stuff that the season is all about! Enjoy and it will go by way too fast!

YAY October!!!!!

I am so stoked! I rented the castle jump for my Halloween Party today!
I pulled out my big spiders and webbing for my outside today!
I have purchased the spot lighting for outside!
I am ATTACKING the outdoor decorating this weekend! I hold off until the first weekend in October to do the outside!

It Is HERE!!! I can't wait!!!
