Hey magickbean, Ya I have zero tolerance for the heat or sun. I usually don't turn my heat on until late November, I don't care for it to be any higher then 65 in my house. I like the cold, although with my Arthritis its hard living here cause the dampness drives it crazy. I love the snow, and I love going for both walks and drives in it, but I don't care for all the black Ice we get here, that's what sucks. But over all its still a gorgous season, well the only season I don't care to much for is summer, but love Fall Winter and Spring :)

I love the Fall and Spring too. Summer is too hot - especially in the Southern part of Colorado where I live. For those of you in Arizona I sure don't envy your summers. I miss autumn in New England and would LOVE to come visit our lovely friends across the pond...Canada too! I'm afraid to fly so it's a bit of a problem but maybe someday.
Don't drink and fly...

Magickbean:

This may be a silly question, but have you been to Lanark, Scotland? I have lots of family there...as I recall, the last time I was there in October of '93 the weather was sunny and warm-quite unusual-and come to think of it, there were no halloween decorations or mention of it anywhere.

DOD - totally agree with the seasons thing :) I'm so sorry to hear that you suffer from arthritis - quite a few of my family get that pretty bad :( Have you tried one of those copper magnetic braclets? My mum swears by hers.

JadedFrySon - I am ashamed to say that I haven't yet got chance to visit Scotland. I should be going to Edinburgh next summer though, as part of the comedy festival. I'm not sure how they celebrate Halloween, but I know that they have a very strong pagan/druid community up there so there must be some people that carve Jack O'Lanterns and such! :)

Thunderstorms are forecast in my area for Tuesday, Oct. 16. Ah, beautiful music to my ears! :P

Neat interactive from USA Today:
Fall colors depend on weather changes.

That sounds very interesting. Somehow I managed to develop an interest in the old world religeons that the Catholics have tried to beat down through the centuries. Now they seem to be on the rebound.
