We have watercolor paintings of the bride of frankenstein, frankenstein, and michael myers above the mantle, with all sorts of spooky stuff up there. My two Spookytown Village pieces (one of the castles and the pirate ship) are on each end of the mantle. There are various things like a skull, creepy candles...stuff like that...up there.

We also have one of those giant painted cardboard frankenstein heads from Target last year, on the wall. Then we have 4 posters in frames on the wall as you go up the stairs, Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, the Wolfman, and Dracula. There's a coffin upstairs (small child one) and a whole ton of other stuff.

We don't keep it all out, but we are definitely into horror and the darker side of things and I think it shows year round.

Mandy - I really like it too. I wish I had one for my lair.
You're going to have to ask Dutchess where she got it. It's hers.

That sign is awesome! I can have those kind of kitties, they won't make me sneeze!!

Yes, Mandy0221, that is me that has the life size cut out of Jack Sparrow, and I have one of Legolas from LOTR, too. They both live in my movie room. I love Cpt Jack, too. That is my favorite costume that my hubby ever had for Halloween.

I actually had a really good find last year, at the dollar tree, I found 4 regular size movie posters from old Halloween movies like the Bride of Frankenstein and Dracula, I framed them using 50% off frames from AC Moore and we have those up year round. I also used the wasted space above my kitchen cabinets as a display for some of my favorite Halloween Knick Knacks, those are also up year round. When my son moves out (that’s only in 14 years) we will turn his room into a Halloween room and have our Lemax out year round, I think it may detract from it being special, but it’s also a lot of work to take it up and down. My real goal is to talk my husband into decorating our house for Halloween year round!! I would give my left leg to live in a haunted house. :)

Hey Athenagwis, For sure decorate your home year round if it brings you joy. I'm the type of person who needs to be surrounded by what makes me feel good, relax, at peace, and well that means alot of my halloween decor stays up year round. One way I found to really enjoy the season year round is doing my Gothic/Halloween garden. This way, even in the dead of summer I can enjoy my love for Halloween. :D

THat's sounds really fun. I can't wait until we don't live in a condo anymoe and we can have a yard of our own to do that with!! WE do waht we can outside, but it's very limited space there, although I have gotten some great ideas form here already!!
