He most likely is watching you enjoy yourself and getting caught up in it and wants to enjoy being with YOU and being a part of it with YOU. I could see that between a couple that is happy and loves to be together and do the same things...that kind of thing is awesome.

you know how they say "police work is 90% boredom and 10% excitement" or something similar to that?
Thats kind of how my life is, it's 90% mundane repitition and boredom with 10% ups and downs.....
so today, at least for now I am bored but not un-happy........but the day is fairly early.
I am in a rut and have no interest to get out of it. I almost wish I had someone to force me to change my rut because I have no energy or self motivation to change it myself. Also having 3 kids at home two under 9yrs old it's hard to actually get out and go places. My normal excitement is a trip to WalMart, or Target or what ever......ho hummmm

I can so relate to that for the past 10 years...

Andy Warhol once said that he sought out boredom. I tend to agree.
Given the choice of living in some rat-hole country where every day was a struggle just to survive or having the luxury of having nothing to do, I'll take the latter.

"I should like to know which is worse: to be raped a hundred times by pirates, and have a buttock cut off, and run the gauntlet of the Bulgars, and be flogged and hanged in an auto-da-fe, and be dissected, and have to row in a galley -- in short, to undergo all the miseries we have each of us suffered -- or simply to sit here and do nothing?" -Voltaire, Candide

I think you might have missunderstood my post.....it's not that I have nothing to do, it just that I have the same things to do day after day after day after day.......I dont get out and ride my ATV around the 3 acres of hills around my house, dont go out looking at the trees turn colors, dont wear a kilt and go to family reunions and so on. I actually dont have any family with in 1200miles, no hills here in S Texas, and the trees are still green. I envy you guys doing these things (except wearing a dress, I'll pass on that one) but I almost never leave the house except to shop for things for the house. It's just boredom of doing the same thing day after day. My wife is the one that goes out and works every day, I dont, I'm here, I'm the house dad, I stay here and do the house things so I dont even have a job to break up my day....so, I'm just bored.....and kind of wish there was someone to force me out of this rut......

Well, we're happy to be home together for a whole week because the family is away on vacation again to SC and they won't be back till next Friday... Now, we feel like very quiet at home such no noise, no argue, anything like that before.

But the other days my grandpa told me very real soon that my mother and step father will have a new home in September, maybe earlier October. We'll see.

You know Spooky, you could do all the boring things you do on a daily basis, but if you wear a kilt while doing them, they might not seem as boring. Just learning how to sit down in a chair becomes an exciting adventure!
