I heard about "The Stand", but I've never seen it. So did you know that Stephen King did write "Stand By Me" 1986 movie? It was very good movie, and it has River Phoenix and Corey Feldman in this movie! If some of you haven't seen "Stand By Me", then I highly recommend it! ;)

I first saw Stand By Me when I was wee, and the dead kid scared me so much I had nightmares for a week. For years after, whenever that movie was on, I wouldn't look at that part, and I still, to this day, haven't seen it since that first time. I'm sure it can't possibly be as scary as I remember it, but if I watch it now, I'll lose the last movie thing that truly scared me, so I kind of just prefer to keep my distorted, super-scary memory instead.

The Stand was such a big book, they couldn't possibly get enough of it into the movie for it to be as good as the book (even though the movie ended up a six hour, three night tv mini-series). But for a tv mini-series, it was actually pretty good....except for the end, which was as bad as the end of the book..... :? .... but no worse....

So to answer your question directly, Witchy, sort of. The movie was sort of good. :)
