What made me happy today?...WHAT MADE ME HAPPY???!
Okay, I have had the same cell phone since 2001 (yes boys & girls; 9 years). Original number, same battery and accessories. Never had a problem or complaint.
I also have been on the 2-new plan (free device upgrade every 2 years).
So I was poking around this morning on Verizon, 'cause I had just paid this months bill and our company has an employee discount, and lo-and-behold I qualify for a multitude of 21st century technology. Lot's o' credit saved up.
I'm getting the Droid with the slide-out qwerty keyboard for...$99.99. That's $100.00 less than their best discount offer.
The upgraded calling plan plus unlimited data will be less per month than what I have been shelling out for the passed decade.

I'm going to put it through it's paces during the first 30 days, California has a 'lemon law' that covers a lot of consumer goods.

my sisters daughter has an older smart phone and she said hers does more then her moms droid, so yeah, I'd do a lot of checking and review reading on it first.

My 'mates have had most of them in the past couple of years, crackberry to iPhone and I don't need it for business, just phone and surfing. What sold me is the Google-Maps voice guided GPS navigation, even though it has been reported that it sometimes 'hiccups'.
