Halloween 2008 Party

people who are DEFINATLY going to attend.


I'd like to know how many would plan to give up their "normal" Halloween
traditions for only a single year, and attend this special gathering instead.



Here's the plan, thus far anyway...

Friday, Oct. 31st. 2008
My plan is to convert the apartment,
into a castle themed Party Haunt!


To acknowledge this occasion, I would love to open my small
apartment to the members and haunters of Halloween dot com.
in seasonably warm Florida. There will be 2 different rooms for the
festivities. I have plans to create an outdoor area, for an overflow crowd.
If you can't make it in 2008, try to attend the 2009 Halloween Gathering.



This is a special occasion for those who love Halloween.
Costumes are required. If you don't have a costume,
plan on doing time in the "Party Pooper Pokey".

I would love to go if it is coming in the summer, but if it is only in October, then I really can't go there because I have Halloween and Yard Haunt plans in September and October.

Wow I would so love to come! I don't think that I will be able to afford the flight though It's so expensive to get across the Atlantic, and I think I would panic if I had to find my way around Florida by myself... (I'm not a good solo traveller at all.. I get lost easily!!!)

Hmm... I hate to be the stick in the mud here cuz I remember all of us talking about a full moon on Halloween in 2009 and how cool it would be for all of us together then.

Then, Wolfie starts talkiing about a full/blue moon on Halloween in 2008.
Just in case there's anyone who is unsure, a 'Blue' moon is the second full moon appearing in the same month and is VERY rare!

Well, I've not been able to find a full moon of any kind on Halloween in 2008 OR 2009. Lunar Calendar

Now don't get me wrong. I want us all to get together one Halloween soon, as much as anyone else.....
But WHERE did anyone get the idea of a full moon on Halloween????

I was going by what I was told by someone else. (probably on another forum.) But you're right OEJ. There isn't a blue moon until December of 2009. And the full moon doesn't occur until 2020. (Which will of course be a blue moon.)

Just goes to show, You can't go by what you hear on the internet as complete fact, but I still want to host a Halloween gathering.

Hey! I would love to beable to plan for that but at this point I don't even know where my next payckeck is coming from.

That would really be neat but I can't commit to anything right now.

Well, I really don't need any type of commitments until about August. I'll be pretty busy carving up the stones for the walls. So, keep the idea simmerin' on the back burner.
