well, i just borrowed a friends 4 track recorder and there are so many buttons, i can't seem to figure that darn thing out! LOL. i would like to record my own album, but between going to college, doing homework, taking care of a toddler and trying to find a job, i can hardly find time. although i always seem to find time to post on these forums all day long! LOL

I imagine that the recorder is for cassette?
I imagine that you can record on one track at a time, and listen to any or all of the other tracks that have been recorded. In the studio, we usually lay down a beat track, or timing track. (This is usually deleted after a better drumming track is recorded, so as to free up another track for vocals or another instrument.)
You might want to try using a small two or three mic/instrument mixer, so that more than one instrument may be recorded at a time. Like... Guitar & Bass. This will help pack the tracks with as much as you can.
Also, test record your audio, so you can get the right audio levels before you put it to the final mix. You can just use another cassette and just do the experements on audio levels, until you nail it down.

OEJ! I think your awesome! I always look forward to your posts! I agree with you 100% that the Halloween.com family is just awesome! Love the site you created. And I love the pic on the album Day 115 with you sitting in the chair chillin. Thats a great pic! Would love to hear some of your music too.
I'm really enjoying how everyone seems to be liking my stuff. I DO need to point out, however, that the 'Day 115' album never got started more than what you see there. The art work was prototype and I'd hadn't even gotten as far to get permission to use those images. I had intended to do everything completely by the book (as I usually do) but things started falling apart quiker than I could really get them started.
The pics used for the 'Day 115' CD belong to a couple of artists met on deviantart.com. I had actually forgotten all about it so I should probably take it down since I'm not going to be using the images after all.
Now, the Blue Rose Suite, however is totally koesher!!!
