Blog? Photos?

Post by HalloweenDot » Wed Oct 31, 2007 10:11 am

Hi Everyone and Happy Halloween! As usually, we hope you have a wonderfully fun day today. I know I am now and will have even more with my 2 kids later.

Anyway, I'm looking for input here.

1. Blog? I am thinking of adding blog features for people on Halloween.com, something like: http://www.halloween.com/blogs/ or blogs.halloween.com. Is there interest for that or do you think the forums are sufficient? Check back here and I'll let you know what I decide. Obviously this would be for people who are really interested in writing about Halloween and having fun with it.

2. Photos? I've thought that adding an option to let people post photos from Halloween on here would be fun. What do you think? I am not sure of the difficultly in doing so, but if there is enough interest, I'll try and figure it out!

Please let me know your thoughts!

Happy Halloween, HCom!!!
I'm agnostic on the Blog idea.
But how would the Photo feature work? A lot of us are already posting pics through Photobucket and sites like that. Would members upload pics right to Halloween.com?

Hi,
That is how it would work - with Photobucket, imageshack, etc it probably isn't needed, but might be fun. As far as the blog goes, that would be best for people really into Halloween... ;-)

Happy Halloween.

Blogs sound cool to me, but for any photos some people can post pixs themselves... Some people are having difficulty to add their pixs here. We can assist them what to do and how to post their photos.

I think both ideas sound cool. :D
Because once you cross that bridge, my friend, the ghost is through, his power ends.

Photos no blogs
The dark night beckons. Bear us your soul, it whispers. Expose your wicked delights. Join the rest of us on the wind. The dark night beckons and we answer. Sailing into the shadows.

I think that's my call, too.
I had a blog feature on my site and the only ones who used it wrote things in there blogs that had those who read them wondering if they should be telling this stuff to professionals rather than blogs.

This is a much different croud, I know, but still. I think there's MySpace and things like that for blog type of things.

No to Blogs-- there are other sites that are better suited for that-- MySpace, Frappr, LiveJournal, BlogSpot, etc.

Photos- It might be nice to have a place to upload Halloween images. What's the storage requirement per person? Will it have an easy-to-use interface? etc.... Just questions to think about-- I don't need answers.

I don't care as long as what we have now doesn't have to change, but if its just another added feature its fine by me, and I'd like to just keep posting through photobucket, too hard to keep learning new stuff. SO I hope we can continue with things as they are as well.

By the Way, Happy Halloween Halloween.com
