So do you top with a turkey for Thanksgiving, because I would think the grease would get all over the tree.

It's very cheap to do....just buy the purple & orange lights from your local dollar stores....we use some purple glass ornaments too that we got from Big Lots for $5.00

As a matter a fact, we put our tree up on Oct 1st & keep it up till April....decorating for each holiday after Christmas !
Valentines, St. Patricks & Easter

Then....we just slide the tree in the storage room come May1st only to pull it back out Oct 1st....again ! :P

Hey, you can take a good tip from me!

You know, you can take out your old Christmas tree and you would have about 4 or 5 cans of paint-spray (orange) to spray all from top to down the tree and let it dry at least 2 hours. Make it Halloween tree!

I have one of those pre-lit tall, skinny pine trees and keep it up all year long in the master bedroom. For Halloween I put two strings of orange and purple lights around it and hang my Wicked Witch of the West ornament and springy spiders. The idea started out because I lack proper storage for three threes (a little overboard, yes) so thought that one looked good in the room.
Don't drink and fly...

I have a Halloween tree from Menards. Its black with glitter, and orange lights and has big jack- o- lantern and ghost shaped bulbs on it. Its awesome! If I cold figure out how to post pics I will!
