A friend and I have a plan to go on the 30th, we'll have to travel sev hours to get to a 3D theater, but I think it'll be worth it!!!

Can't wait!!

I saw the last Harry Potter movie at an IMAX theater. It had some 3-D near the end, and it was awsome!

Is TNBC in an IMAX theater? If it is, you're in for a real treat!

I just saw the 3-D version on Friday, after having seen the original 2-D version back in 1993. The new version looks amazing! It starts with a jack-o'-lantern-in-a-box that springs out and seems to be hovering two feet in front of your face — I was tempted to reach up and hold it in my hands. The 3-D conversion of the movie is seamless in the sense that you would never know it wasn't originally filmed that way. Objects don't just appear to be otherwise flat items on separate planes from each other, as I recall ViewMaster 3-D conversions of flat cartoon drawings, or 3-D comic books, appearing. They have the complete "roundness" of objects, maintained as the object or the camera is in motion. And it's not just the main objects separated out from the background; everything in the picture, foreground to background, down to small details, has depth. I've seen several 3-D movies before, mostly live action, but due to the flexible imagery possible in an animated movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D way outperforms anything ever done before, including last year's Monster House.

So, see it! You'll be glad you did.

My niece is going to see this movie with her teacher and the rest of the students on a school trip this Monday. I will be waiting to hear her opinion.

!!!
we saw it this evening and it was AMAZING!!!!! Omg'sh I hated for it to end, which is very unlike me as I usually get fidgety in theaters and start watching the clock.
To be honest, this is the first time i saw it in it's entirety. I tried watching it once when my kiddo was four or so and she only half way paid attention blah blah blah, owned the video but the vcr ate it the other day when we attempted to watch it. So, as you can imagine, this was amazing for us.

We laughed and tried to catch every single detail, catch and remember every witty line, the words to all the songs...*sigh* I think we'll probably go see it again!!

Anyway, the house was packed, we had perfect seats, it was wonderful. When it ended the crowd burst into applause and cheers. As we walked out everyone, and I mean everyone was saying how amazing it was and how glad they were that they came. My daughter said "I just can't stop smiling"

I want to do it!
Lets draw straws!
Jack said we should work together
Three of a kind
Birds of a fether!

La la la la la la
Lalalalala

KIIID-nap Mr. Sandy Claws,
Put him in a bo-o-ox
Bury him for 90 years
then see if he ta-a-alks.

Yeah. I can see how that could wedge itself between the skull and the brain quite nicely. :D

But my favorite song (outside of "This is Halloween") is "What's This?" when Jack walks around Christmasland. and the song that is sung when Jack shows the folks, at the town meeting, all the things he's discovered.
Especially when they try to guess what's inside the present.

"Perhaps it's the head I found in the lake" is a favorite line.

Maybe presents is the thing
that Halloween is missing.

I can see it...
"Here everybody, Put your presents
in this coffin where the vampire rests.
And the night before Halloween,
open them to see what can be seen."

I LOVED the "maybe it's the head I found in the lake" line. And the witch "What's this on top?"
Jack: "That's a bow"
witch: "I think it's ugly.."

I loved, loved, loved the Trick or Treaters! By all means my favorite characters, although I loved them all! Especially Mr. Oogie Boogie. The line that's stuck with me all day..
"Kidnap the Sandy Claws, chop him into bits
Mr. Oogie Boogie man is sure to get his kicks!!"
Freakin' loved it. Yeah I'm behind the times but my kid is just now old enough to really appreciate it.

Speaking of the trick-or-treaters Lock, Stock, and Barrel — that's Paul Reubens ("Pee-wee Herman") doing the voice of Lock.
