USA Residents ONLY
FYI-I thought you might want to know since we’ve all
been hearing about this happening and the time is here!
Cell phone numbers are going public today.
REMINDER....all cell phone numbers are being released to
telemarketing companies today and you will start to receive sale calls.
....YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS!!!
To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone:
1-888-382-1222
It is the National DO NOT CALL list.
It will only take a minute of your time and
it blocks your number for five (5) years.
You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked.
You cannot call from a different phone number.

Thanx tantraman!
I couldn't find the website and thus, post the URL.
I did check to see if my "land-Line" was still registered. They send an Email back to confirm. Here's what I got back... (I edited out my last 4 digets w/X's)
Your phone number with the last four digits XXXX was most recently registered in the National Do Not Call Registry on August 17, 2006. Most telemarketers will be required to stop calling you 31 days from your registration date. Your registration will (or did) expire on August 18, 2011.
Visit https://www.donotcall.gov to do any of these things:
-- to renew your registration before it expires
-- to file a complaint
Print this email and keep it for your records.
So I'm protected for a few more years yet.
Don't forget guys... It takes 31 days for the registry to take effect.
So you might have to suffer through a month of Telemarketers
before it gets established on the list.

This an urban legend. It's false. Cell phone numbers are NOT going to be released to telemarketers. More here.
