A song, but so much more. Send in the clowns is a heart tugger. In the medical profession, doctors like to call this song a depressant.
Surgeon Generals Warning: Listening to Send in the clowns and The Rose back to back may cause heartbreak.

Send in the clowns
The dark night beckons. Bear us your soul, it whispers. Expose your wicked delights. Join the rest of us on the wind. The dark night beckons and we answer. Sailing into the shadows.

Boy, Dude.... I don't know what you're going through but if you're listening to those songs, it must be rough.
Barry Manilow's 'Somewhere down the road' followed by Barry Manilow's '2:00 AM, Paradise Cafe' always does me in.
All I know is that when I'm going through a rough period, I really take time to just take a deep breath, look around, and count all the things in my life that I truly am thankful for. In all things, be greatful and happiness will follow.
Did you know there is a Jewish prayer, thanking God for a successful bowel movement?!?!?! I think I've recited it once or twice in my life..... never mind that; I digress.... The point is, and it serves as a reminder that one can NEVER BE TOO greatful for ANYthing!!!!!!
God bless you buddy and if all else fails.... think Friedrich Nietzsche "What does not destroy me, makes me stronger."

Believe it or not, the song "Puff the Magic Dragon" always makes me teary. I can't help it, I always feel so bad when Puff's scales start falling because Jackie gets too old & doesn't need him any more. I'm a sap, I know.
Also, Bobby Darin's "Artificial Flowers" just kills me.

Act well your part; there all the honour lies.
