Does anyone know the history about Julius Caesar? I believe it was between the year of 110 B.C. till his death in 44 B.C. He was stabbed to death by a group of senators. Not so sure if he was the good or evil ruler of Rome?

BTW, what was Lucius Vorneus related to Caesar? I would like to hear your thoughts here. I do watch HBO tv called "ROME".

Check out the Shaw play for some decent info..
Caesar and Cleopartra..DON'T skip the intro.
Suetonius has a decent personal history, the history books can fill in the rest.
It was Julie who made Rome the empire it stayed as...eveything that followed was essentially due to him..you can divide the history into pre and post Caesar.
"Good' or 'bad' in this case depends on point of view..maybe you were also refering to Caligula...who was VERY bad..and a bad statesman as well.
