I have no doubt if he somehow manages to slither in with a new name, we'll quickly recognize him. I think most of us know about his dual identities. I vote no by the way.

I'm new here & I don't know this guy. You can't really tell from his prior undeleted posts how bad he was, except that he apparently had to repeatedly apologize for things.

I've been online chatting & in discussions since 1992, and I've seen what can happen when everything is left unfettered. In some forums, that's ok, even with all the destruction that ensues, because they're built that way. In a forum like this, smaller, more chatty, more friendly, and more personal, it can be dangerous - or at least make people feel as if they're endangered.

I won't make a call as to whether this guy should be given one more chance. I will say this: If he is, he & everyone else need to know that it's the LAST chance, and whoever's in charge needs to follow through with that if he violates his "probation." No empty threats, because that just makes things worse. First of all, he'll see that it's not taken seriously & he can do what he likes. Secondly, you'll start losing good membership to bad, if bad is allowed to run rampant. I've seen it happen before, and you don't want it here.
Act well your part; there all the honour lies.

Good morning class.
Today we deal with the subject
COMPLUSIVE BEHAVIOR.
This occurs when the subject HAS to perform a certain act, no matter how many times he has been warned, no matter what punishment has been demonstrated will occur if he does something bad again.
Many times the subject himself does not wish to DO the behavior.
Recall the parable of the scorpion and the frog, and how the scorpion wants to cross the river on the back of the frog. The frog refuses, telling the scorpion he will get stung. The scorpion tells the frog that if he stings the frog, he will drown too. Frog believes this and allows scorpion to crawl on his back. Halfway across the scorpion stings the frog dead. Frog, with his last breath asks WHY. Scorpion tells him it was just his NATURE.

No.

I think one chance is enough. If he blew two chances, then he should not be welcomed back. If he broke the first two chances, then I think there is a high chance that he will do it again. It is not right that he is making people feel uncomfortable on this website.

I've been a member for awhile now and though, like some of you, I don't post everyday, I do read the threads everyday. I seemed to have missed the offensive posts by FOB though. I caught one thread, his latest I assume, but whatever he posted on there was already deleted. I vote no because of 2 reasons. First, it's clear that the regulars (EOJ, MammaHooch, DOD, etc) were extremely offended by his posts. And I trust their judgment!!! Second, I don't want someone making Halloween trashy! Did you see his website address? Just the name alone!!! Don't we have enough hurdles during this time of year with religious zealots trying to peg us a "devil worshipers" and "pagans" without throwing another controversy into the brew??? I say kick the trash to the curb were it belongs!!!!

sorry, if thats too harsh but its how i feel....

It's been my experience running other forums that if someone does something harsh enough to warrant banning, they should NOT be allowed back. Usually, sufficient warning is given prior to someone being banned...

Granted, the more I dealt with people, the closer I got to a zero tolerance policy to keep order... so maybe I fall under the extreme. Then again, I was dealing with a crowd of unruly teenager gamers trying to push the limits... so *shrug*

This forum's rules are clearly posted and there is no excuse for repeatedly breaking them. If you've been warned that you will be banned and you persist those activities which a warning was issued for, then you're gone for good.
