Red-neck cops!
Anyone likes red-neck cops???? Well, me and my friends really do hate redneck cops!!! They hate blacks, spics, yellows, redmen, etc. We do have the rights to fight off the redneck cops, right?? If so, please share your thoughts here. Thanks.

Re: Red-neck cops!
I guess this post is related to your one friend's recent experience? The truth is, any cop is still a police officer and needs to be treated with respect. If he or she is breaking laws by being obnoxious to people who are different from him/her, there are procedures to deal with that. Go through the proper channels. Document abuse, etc. Don't just start beating up on a cop.

First you have to turn in your GOP club card a renounce the financial policies of Ronald Regan.
Second, pay 3X the national average for a shack, and give up any hope of ever driving above 30 on the freeway.

Re: Red-neck cops!
There are a lot more rednecks in California than most folks realize, and not the good kind either.
Ever read the Grapes Of Wrath? During the previous Great Depression all of those 'Oakies' and other southerners migrated to the San Joaquin Valley to work the fields.
There is still a huge Krusty Klown Klub out there.

Ok, I'm all calm.
I don't understand when me and my friends, they're Mexicans were talking outside. When the cops drove by, they stopped right there where we were outside. They questioned us, searching on all of us to make sure we have no weapons or anything like that... then they left.

Re: Red-neck cops!
Sorry, pet peeve--"Oakies" are not Southerners. Southerners are people who live in the South. The South is defined as those states which seceded prior to the Civil War. There are eleven of them--VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, TN, AL, MS, AR, LA, TX. I don't even count West Virginians as Southerners, because they rejoined the Union before the end of the War.Andybev01 wrote: all of those 'Oakies' and other southerners
Oklahoma was Indian Territory into the early 20th century. It's a fine state, I'm sure, and I've loved people I've known from there. But it is not the South. Its history has nothing to do with the South. The South is all about shared history. Oklahoma is a Plains State.

Re: Red-neck cops!
iHaunt, I think the word "spic" is very pejorative, and should be avoided. It's every bit as bad as the "N" word, and many Latinos would be deeply and rightfully offended by it's use.
You are angry because a few police officers abused their authority. I also agree that profiling is wrong. I do not agree, however, that all cops are bad or abuse their authority. I have had very few bad experiences with police officers. The only real bad experience I had with a "police" officer was at Sears Roebuck when I worked there for the Christmas season, and I don't know if you can really consider those store security guards as police officers anyway. Some one sold an electric typewriter and used my name and employee number on the recipt, and then kept the money. To boot, the box they gave the customer was for a typewriter carrying case, but did not have a typewriter in it. (This was back in the early 80s, before there were word processors and the like) Anyway, they did their best to "sweat" a confession out of me. Finaly, they had me sig my name, and the handwriting didn't even remotely match. So I was off the hook on that one.

Sorry 'bout that. My view of anything east of Lake Tahoe is pretty morphed.Murfreesboro wrote:Sorry, pet peeve--"Oakies" are not Southerners. Southerners are people who live in the South.
