This is cause for celebration. I'll shell out the money for this.

Also with the 30th anniversary means that a lot of independent theaters are going to be playing it on the big screen come October.

30 years...?

Oh my; I was 11 when I first saw that one.

Oof, where's my walker?
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

I was only 3 in 1978, and I didn't see Halloween movie until I was 12 years old. ;) I remember when I was 13, I begged my grandpa to take me to the movie and watched HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS. :D
About one year later, there was HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS.

The rest of others like HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS, HALLOWEEN: H20, HALLOWEEN RESURRECTION - I've seen them only on VHS.

Haunt Master, we're the same age! I was three in 1978 too.

I'd love to see the original Halloween on the big screen! Being in NYC, I'm sure some independent theaters in the Village will show it for the anniversary... Can't wait!

Did you guys ever see the deleted scenes from Halloween? It was almost a very, very different movie.

haven't seen them yet Nevermore :)

and i bought the 25 years of terror last year :) i loved it
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
