Don't forget chocolate covered cockroaches, though their antennae tickle my throat when I swallow them.

Re: Early Halloween Sightings!
I was in Michael's yesterday, and they were putting out Halloween items.
Re: Early Halloween Sightings!
So I was driving home the other day and noticed lights on one of the houses I drove by, accompanied by fog all over and around their yard. It looked rather "Halloweenish," so I decided to turn around and drive by to see what the fuss was all about. As drove by, these people had monster/zombie looking manikins, grave stones, all over their yard (along with the fog and lights). I'm assuming they were getting ready for Halloween, and had to make sure all their stuff worked properly. Pretty cool.

Pottery Barn has a Halloween section up on their homepage. A rather expensive one but still exciting!

We got a bunch of Halloween decorating catalogs in the mail yesterday.
GrandInRoad had a bunch of decorations in their catalog.

I think it's a like early to start decorating but I'm glad people are getting in the spirit.

I agree. Last year we started around mid-September.

Too bad gas is over $4. I'll probably skip my annual road trip at the end of August looking for all the pop-up stores. I love that sense of excitement when I see a sign for Spirit Halloween or Halloween Express. Even though they all have the same things I stop at each store I find.

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...
