Re: Hey Churches, just leave Halloween alone!

There is a move to eliminate more than just Halloween. And it isn't by the christian churches. If things continue to go the way they are, you won't recognize your country. Btw, it is not the christians that is forcing people to pay for abortions or contraceptive, even if they don't believe in it. I...

Re: Gore or Suspense

Creepiness and suspense, with lots of jumpy-outties and scary sound effects ala the 1963 version of "The Haunting". Although I like the really weird or archaic stuff too, like the 1922 "Haxan" or the 1920 "The Golem". The imagery in "Haxan" is so bizarre.

Re: My Favorite Halloween Songs

I actually like the version of "This is Halloween" by Panic at the Disco. And Oingo Boingo's "Dead Man's Party". And The Mutton Birds "Don't Fear the Reaper." And Shriekback's "Nemesis". And the Disney Donald Duck Cartoon "Trick or Treat" song. And ...

Re: Yard Decorating - Need New Approach

For those that have done this or seen it done in the past, do you think it would be worth my while to create a little viewing area? Maybe a couple bails of hay to serve as seats? I would imagine if I threw a movie up, several kids would want to camp out for a while to watch. Thinking The Great Pump...

...starring Meredith O'Hayre." Not sure if this could actually be considered Halloween reading or not, but for horror movie addicts like me, this book is a lot of fun. =) It's a little like the TV series, "How to Survive a Horror Movie." Here's an excerpt: Survival Tip: Invest in Cal...

Re: break in

i think there are just people that are complete wastes on society and complete wastes of skin who just take from others with no reguard for other people at all. Those people need to just be permantly removed from the human race. And some are just plain stupid. The guys that robbed us didn't seem to...

Wow, the candy bombs are a really neat idea =) But I can see how you'd have to start them way ahead of time.

Re: break in

I have a friend who's car was broken into. He kept the gun under the passenger seat. He came out of work and found the carjacker in his car and as he started to yell at the guy, the guy pointed his own gun at him. He was just lucky guy decided to bolt instead of shoot. Ever since then, I worry too ...

Actually, no, I read that, Spookymufu. But for some reason my brain interpreted your comment as a descriptive - not as the actual place. =)

Doh! I totally forgot about the Haunted Mansion. It's been way too long since I've been to Disney Land. (No, not going to date myself here =p) Thanks for reminding me, Great Pumpkin =)

Re: Skeptic

You can get a guarantee on a refrigerator, but not when you contract a marriage, or have a child, or even when you choose a profession. Everything in your life that really matters to you is an act of faith. You can't live without it. Wow! That's a very profound point of view that I've never conside...

Re: break in

I'm probably in the minority here, but the possibility of the burglar finding your gun is a good enough reason for me not to own one. Our house was robbed a few years ago , also in broad daylight, and they apparently had time to make at least a few trips in and out before my man walked in on them a...

That's talent. He's magnificent! Why do you call him a hatbox ghost, if you don't mind my asking? (Sorry...I think I'm still in the stone age, as most of my Halloween crafty things are still done in papier mache', cardboard and wood, so it's not a term I'm familiar with =)

Re: Skeptic

Bwahahaha =P Back to the battery....if you transfer all the energy from the battery to, say, a flashlight, I guess it might be the same as the human energy actually dying with the person, because the flashlight stops working when the battery dies. But if you take the energy from the battery and sen...
